What makes you so special than us?

I instantly stopped walking. On my right, stood a woman and her husband in their 50s..kot. They were holding a newspaper, maybe trying to read it in peace or playing Sudoku while standing in a long queue waiting to board the plane.

I didn't know what to reply. They looked erm, bigger than me. So i guessed that's why my mouth couldn't seem to throw anything back. They glared at me..and I couldn't remember where my friends were, Zati and Hana. Maybe they were already in front or behind me. Please, I desperately needed someone to back me up, I prayed.

So, there was this Indian lady. I think she lived in England because she's very fluent in English. She was with her husband, who walked beside me. Ohhh I forgot. We were on our way to cut the queue because the flight attendant called for passengers whose seats started from 26 to 40 kot.

Back to the story, the Indian lady spoke bravely to the British couple "Didn't you listen? They call for those whose seat numbers are from 26 to 40". Then, she smiled at me. I just smiled back at her. Hope she knew that the smile meant 'Thank you'. The British woman said, "What? we heard nothing..bla bla bla...". I chose to ignore the couple but i managed to glance at her tickets..nahh! seat nombor 19! Cehh...poddah! Okay blah blah cepat. I was actually afraid if she shouted at me saying 'what a rude Muslim girl!' Haaa..parah pulak. Tak pasal2 popular aii kat gate tuh. muahaha

The British couple may think they are special than us, they should have the privilege to board the plane early compared to non-British citizens because we flew with British Airways bla bla bla.. but they should have listened carefully to the announcement because in the end, they were to ones who would feel embarrassed. I felt sorry for them actually.

Sometimes, we often think we have something that others don't have. Indeed, this is true. You and I are different. Everyone is different. Everyone is unique. Everyone is special. I may be good at writing, but I am not a good English speaker. Zati's singing is always out of tune but she's superb when it comes to acting and cooking (the best cook in Marjon). Perhaps Awatif is not the best cook, but she is the greatest scone baker and singer. Baker kah wahai housemates? hihi. And Hana, she may be the cry baby, the youngest among us all but she has a strong mind, always the first to finish doing the assignments and is our constant reminder about the assignments. By the time I finish writing this, she might as well have finished writing her dissertation conclusion where others are still struggling half-way! Again, the first to finish, this time among Cohort 4 Marjonians! clap clap clap. eh, apsal too many finish nih?

See, everyone has their own specialty. Everyone is extraordinary on their own way. But NO! you don't have any power to claim yourself 'the Last Rasul' or 'Rasul kaum Melayu' whatsoever. That's nonsense okay!

There's only one thing that all of us need to believe. Whoever you are..a Sultan, a lawyer, a mufti, a lorry driver, a garbage collector.., how clever you are, how rich you are, how powerful you are...all of us will return to ALLAH swt. Only our 'iman' and 'taqwa' will differentiate us in the Hereafter.

"Wahai manusia!
[Al-Inshiqaq: 6-12]

So my darling readers, which one do you prefer? The pleasures of Jannah or the indescribable heat of Hell? The choice is yours.

p/s: To my dearest housemates, I have no intention to embarrass you in this post. I'm deeply sorry if I cause any discomfort or whatever lah. :)

May ALLAH bless you, darling readers. Salam-Alaykum.
