Four-leaf clover

So, do you like my new background? No? Ahh, who cares? I just love four-leaf clover.

Universally acknowledged, a four-leaf clover brings good luck to its finder, especially if it's found by accident.

'If a man walking in the fields find any four-leaved grass, he shall in a small while after find some good thing' (Sir John Melton, 1620).

For the early Celts of Wales, the clover is used as a charm against the evil spirits. So, no more bomohs, dukuns or samis, we can just use this clover to protect us from ghosts! Emm, but not from the syaitansss okay. Syaitanss belong to a special group, can only be knocked down with recitation from the Holy Quran.

It is very simple to recognize a four-leaf clover. Apart from having four leaves while the others have only three leaves (which many early people found it extraordinary), the fourth leaf is usually smaller than the other leaves.

Do you know that every leaf represents something?

First leaf = faith
Second leaf = hope
Third leaf = love
Fourth leaf = LUCK!

4 in 1, and very rare to find one. That's why the legend believed it is an omen of good luck.

Why do I love four-leaf clover? Hmm, maybe because it is cute? Haha. No reasons actually. I just find it beautiful. I don't know, perhaps the love for the clover grew as I read about the history of Northern Ireland (this was right before Hana and I went to Belfast). I also own a unique four-leaf clover steel bookmark. Hihi.

So, what are you waiting for? Go camp in any virgin jungle and search high and low for the clover! Who knows your luck is in the jungle, waving, waiting for you to pick them. :D
